Want Pregnant Quickly? Go to sleep in the Dark - Lights out while sleeping is one way to make sleep more soundly. Sleep in the dark was also recommended for women who want to get pregnant.

Turns dark atmosphere needed for reproductive health in women and also to protect the developing fetus. This was conveyed by Russell J.Reiter, expert in the fields of cellular biology from the University of Texas Health Science Center.

In the analysis of a study published in the journal Fertility and Sterility, Reiter and his team found that levels of melatonin and circadian rhythms play an important role in the female reproductive process.

"If we sleep with the room lights on, melatonin production is reduced," said Reiter.

Melatonin is a hormone released by the pineal gland in the brain when a dark environment and trigger drowsiness. This hormone is mentioned very important when a woman is trying to conceive because it will protect the egg cell from oxidative stress.

Melatonin is known to have strong antioxidant properties that will protect an egg cell from free radical damage, especially at the time of conception.

"If a woman is trying to conceive, should be enough sleep at least 8 hours every night and sleep in the dark. Sleeping in the dark should be a routine, if not the biological clock can be confusion," he said.

He added that, during pregnancy sleep in the dark should not be disturbed by light, particularly in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Turn on the lights during the night will reduce the production of melatonin in women, and this can be harmful to the brain of the fetus so that the amount of melatonin that controls the biological clock disrupted.

Animal studies have shown, dark sleep environment then the light associated with behavioral disorders in newborns. Other studies also suspect sleeping with the lights remain lit rooms associated with hyperactivity disorder or autism in children.
