1. Rinsing with mouthwash teeth can prevent plaque buildup. Too much plaque can cause cavities and gum disease. However, mouthwash will not eliminate or reduce existing plaque.

2. Gargling with mouthwash containing fluoride can help prevent cavities. This material protects the teeth from damage (resulting in cavities) or decay. For that, look at the labels carefully to make sure the mouthwash is equipped with fluoride.

3. Mouthwash can help you target the plaques that want eradicated. Areas where there are many plaques will change to blue so that you can focus on these areas when brushing your teeth or use dental floss.
